Wedding ritual sand

The sea, the beach, and two different colors of sand are the essential elements in the evocative, exciting and romantic ritual known as the  “ Ceremony of the Sand”, which symbolizes the union of a loving couple uniting to form a single, indivisible soul.

The sea, the beach, and two different colors of sand are the essential elements in the evocative, exciting and romantic ritual known as the  “ Ceremony of the Sand”, which symbolizes the union of a loving couple uniting to form a single, indivisible soul.

Using two jars, vials, or decanters filled with different colored sand, the couple pour the sands into a single container at the same time while reciting wedding vows. The distinctly colorful sand grains of two containers mix and blend in a new color to celebrate the indissoluble union of two lovers. The vessel can then be kept as a memento of the wedding ceremony or sand can be shared with your closest friends.

The ceremony is usually celebrated in an inviting location by the sea , and is accompanied by background music which suits the tastes of the couple, from a harp, a violin, a guitar or other instrument.

It is obviously a pagan ritual that can be run for both a symbolic wedding or a romantic promise of love. It is often celebrated by an Officiant ( Renato: do you mean Official)  who may be chosen from among family or friends especially close to the couple.

The ceremony can serve as an unconventional solution to a traditional  wedding.

A unique and unforgettable experience that seals c couple’s union with a promise of eternal love!
